As I sit here reflecting on the journey behind my upcoming collection Golden Embers - my mind wanders through the memories that have shaped me—the places I’ve lived, the people I’ve met, and the moments that have left their mark. This collection is more than just jewelry. Each piece is a chapter in my story, and an invitation to explore the warmth of family, the joy of friendship, and the connections that light up our lives during each season. With so much darkness in the world...I feel compelled to add some light.
While it doesn’t capture every part of my journey, it does offers a tiny ember—a glimpse into the story that’s still unfolding.
Yours Truly,
Nik B.

I still remember the hustle and bustle of growing up in New York City. The streets were always alive—vibrant, chaotic, and yet full of possibility. And as a young girl, I was swept up in the energy of it all, soaking in the sights, sounds, and endless diversity. I moved from NY to the suburbs of NC when I was 13, so I also (eventually) learned to appreciate the stark contrast of quiet moments, a lesson I didn’t fully grasp as a child, but eventually would in adulthood. This duality—boldness and spice mixed with subtle elegance—is sort of what I'm discovering defines my design style.
Brooklyn, the first piece made in the collection, embodies this duality...this perfect blend. Its open design, with a stunning shimmering emerald kyanite and moissanite, speaks to the sense of adventure and endless possibilities that shaped me as a city girl. It’s also the first piece I made after a class with Lynn at OQZO Metalsmithing studio and marking my growth. The double bezel finish felt like a personal and creative milestone. A nod to the creativity gifted-- I know is only just beginning to flourish.

Handcrafted in 14k gold-filled metal, Brooklyn features an open-back design. On one end, an organic emerald kyanite takes center stage, its deep blue-green hues and natural texture symbolizing boldness. Opposite, a brilliant moissanite sparkles with clarity, bringing balance to this design along with a subtle elegance.
